Dolce Gelato

I would always pass this place on Franklin Ave for so many years and finally took the leap to go yesterday evening. Such a great ambience, gelato tastes amazing, staff was sweet / welcoming. Will definitely be back soon!

We went to the one in Howard Beach by Lenny’s Clam Bar and it was amazing! We got the pistachio and rainbow cookie. So flavorful and creamy! The staff was very kind and helpful too!

Outstanding! So many yummy flavors. The place was clean, beautifully decorated and the owners were so nice. We will definitely come back for more. The take home packages were cute and kept our gelato cold for a long car ride home.

Cute neighborhood gelato shop open late for after dinner sweets. A huge plus is they have a small outside patio sitting area and two restrooms (though one was out of order when I visited). They also have some seats inside. I sampled the hazelnut and forest fruit flavors. They were okay but tasted kind of light and not very creamy or strong in flavor. I ended up asking one of the employees what her favorite flavors were and ended up getting those two flavors in a small cup. I ended up getting Ferrero rocher and pistachio. Those two flavors were actually very good, creamy, and strong in flavor. In the Ferrero rocher, there were small pieces of chocolate which gave the gelato a bit of texture differentiation. A nice change from standard ice cream shops. Gelato has a texture and taste that is far superior in my opinion. These guys here serve up really tasty Gelato which is definitely worth trying. Standard flavors like Hazelnut and pistachio are available as well as more American flavors like oreo. A few cakes are available here too but this spot is mainly known for their Gelato. This is also a great spot to grab dessert post dinner which is what we did.
