Eden Prairie Library

This is a large library. The renovation is nice but i feel like they could've added more quiet rooms and a better play area for kids. There are handicap computer tables that rise and lower. Touchless main door activation. There's a decent kid section. My favorite part is there are computers and a scanner that give you view of the kids area, so I can watch them while I work. Other libraries have a public puzzle area where you can work on puzzles In addition, this library also has a puzzle swap. There's a gas fireplace seating area. It's not extremely cozy as the area does the modernish plain look but it's a nice touch.

Love taking my little one to this library! It’s so fun and they have a great selection of books! Very impressed with their inclusive selection!

TLDR: EP Library Policy doesn't allow you to use your own laptop after spending millions of taxpayer $ just months ago. ... ... As many of you know already the Eden prairie library opened up a few months ago after an $18mil iirc renovation which was largely non-structural. Surprisingly, the interior is largely unchanged with the same beautiful wooden ceiling mosaic from when it was built 20 years ago for I would guess $30mil. But that's not my issue, I understand that they had to shut down half of the usable space but if you look at my pictures even with six well paid employees that I could see virtually every bit of seating and all conference study rooms were closed. This Library is Amazing. What can you say about a library other than they have a ton of books? Well, the Eden Prairie had that and so much more. The staff are extremely friendly and very willing to help and please. You can choose from many rooms to book for small conferences or readings or just study groups. There is computer use. And to top it off There is ample parking. Five stars for sure!

Much larger than expected. Normally I go to the Burnhaven Library in Burnsville and the comparison is quite different. Staff is easy to talk to and get assistance when at both locations. The only drawback I experienced was the bathrooms here are smaller. Hard to maneuver my walker in the stall 😉. In all, I enjoyed sitting and just my usual thing there.
