Eden Library

I was surprised in entering this library at how cool it would be. The entrance almost downplayed the bright, airy space within. There is a really cool mural that curves along one wall (and I hope it continues to grow!), lots of wood, and some great windows letting in natural light. The street-facing end of the building is mostly windows, looking out on the green of the cemetery across the street, giving a really relaxing view. As with all the other Buffalo and Erie County Public Library branches, the librarians here were helpful and personable, making the library very welcoming.

I went to their book sale which runs thru to Saturday (Oct 18) and was amazed at how many books there were. There must have been over 500 books of all categories. Plus CDs, DVDs, record albums and some miscellaneous free items, including a couple laptop cases, some Christmas items and VCR tapes.

I have been going to my Eden Library for many years now. When I need to renew my library card, to borrow books and to donate them. I also love that you have computers I can use for when mine crashes, (which happens frequently!!),and conveniently have copy machines, fax machines, and printers. Though my Eden Library seems to be smaller than most other libraries I’ve been to, if you don’t have a particular book I’m looking for you’ve always offered to find me one and have it brought in. You have great prices on used books too. The librarian and the woman working with her behind the counter when I went in for my library card renewal the other day were both of them refreshingly polite, pleasant, and professional. I wish I could remember their names because I would mention them here and now.

The ladies working here are incredible. Theyre super nice and the library is spotless. 10 out of 10 would recommend!
