Eddie's Soulfood 2.0

Found a couple IG posts about this place and went for lunch today. It's over the bridge from the Medical Mall in a residential area. It's a smaller place on a small lot. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The facility was clean and there were guests seated and doing take out. I chose this spot because it had red beans and rice on the menu today. So, I got the red beans and rice with an extra scoop of beans ($3). Mixed greens, yams and 2 cornbread muffins. Overall it was ok. The yams were a bit running and cans stand a hint of cinnamon and sugar. The greens has vinegar & sugar. The bean broth was thin. The cornbread is Jiffy. Next time, I will get something for the co-workers.

Now, if you're looking for a Southern Tastebud Extravaganza, then I suggest you stop by and give them a try. Their turkey wings is perfection. All the food was overall a 9 out of 10 because I didn't like the sugar spaghetti or the too sweet homemade drinks. But, I will suggest that they cut down on their sugar in the drinks, and have 2 different options for the spaghetti will make more customers come. The location is known by the blue restaurant and it's menu and great Southern Hospitality! If you go by there tell them I sent you! They know me as by "That man and woman, who bought all that food." 😆

I have went on several occasions and its clear they shake the spoon on you this lady will literally give u teaspoon of food and if she feels like its too much she takes it off overall food taste good but its definitely not that serious as if she saving for her self

Had hamburger steak with rice and gravy, with collard greens. Best collards I’ve had in a long time . Will definitely be going back
