Eddie & Rubye's Snack Bar

My first time visiting in years post the pandemic. I had been craving fish from this place for a long time but time was never on my side. Still has a great taste! Ordered 1 plate of catfish that came with 4 pieces of catfish, side salad, slice of bread, and fries & the fish sandwich order which consisted of 3 pieces of Catfish and bread. We waited outside since it is only a drive thru establishment (which was not a long wait). The person who takes the order was friendly. Card is taken but charges ~3.0% (my total was ~$31) so it's best to have cash. I had enough for the next day which my family member ate and really enjoyed. I'll be stopping by again when I'm in town. It was really good.

I have eaten at this restaurant for over 30 years. Great fish and hospitality. I strongly recommend this restaurant for your fish craving. Also, you don't have to exit your vehicle, pull in front of the restaurant and a staff person greets you and take your order. Once order is completed, its delivered right to your vehicle.

Thank God for Google because it brought me to this fantastic place on my last day in Jackson, MS. The customer service Mr. Slim provided was amazing. Then comes the food and lawd hammercy, that fish was fried to perfection. I ordered the fish dinner and it came with 4 catfish filets, fries, bread, and a salad. It smelled and tasted so fresh. I told Mr. Slim I wasn't from around there and he educated me briefly on the history of the place since they opened in 1981 and pointed me to a spot where I could eat my food while it was hot and fresh. I will gladly sit in that car line every time I am in Jackson, MS to get me a fish plate from Eddie & Rubye's Snack Bar.

I haven’t been to Eddie and Rubys since 2016 and I am very disappointed on how they have become. I just spent almost $20 on a four piece catfish fillet. And three of the four pieces were so small. They was size of a pack of gum. Definitely not worth the money anymore or the time waiting for it.

I comes here at least once or twice a week and the food always good hot and fresh.
