Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Bridgeport

My grandson and I stayed in Bridgeport TX. The area and the room was awesome. The staff was awesome and I think it was the owner was great. We left my grandsons phone charger and I got 3 calls back to return it to me. I appreciate it. Not many places will do that. I highly recommend this place! I forgot to mention the room was so roomy and clean. I loved it and my grandson wanted to live there.

This is my second time staying at the Econolodge in Bridgeport, TX within a 2 year period. Both times, the Hotel was clean, spacious, and the staff was always very accommodating and courteous. The main reason for this review is to express my sincere concern for the Hotel manager. If any questions arise on your behalf, the gentleman manager is very aggressive and not easy to communicate with. His approach to you immediately goes into a defensive mode, and he makes you feel unvalued as a guest. He will indeed answer your questions, but he is very very defensive in how he answers you. I originally believed that during my first visit he was just having a bad day, but in my return, I have become to realize this is just his character. I have stayed at this motel for our annual family reunion for last 14 years; it has always been clean and friendly employees. This time however there was a STRONG smell of pot in the lobby and hallway and clerk never gave me a receipt even when I asked for one. Not as friendly as in the past.

Rented a room on Expedia & our daughter decided at the last minute she wanted to go out of town with us, when we got there we asked if we could get a room with a double bed & we would pay the difference, they where able to switch us to a different room with double beds, but wouldn't let us pay with debit we needed to pay with cash. That didn't make any since but I paid the extra charge in cash that they asked for.

Absolutely deplorable service. Staff was rude and dismissive the entire time we were trying to figure out our reservation then treated my HR director like an idiot for trying to understand what they were demanding. Needless to say we left and went across the street to a far better Hotel.
