EAT Oyster Bar in North Portland is a great spot even if you’re not a huge raw oyster fan. The baked oysters are amazing, and the Mac-N-Cheese with crawfish tails, Andouille sausage, and biscuit crumb + Parmesan topping is an absolute must-try—rich, savory, and super satisfying. Also check out the sandos, seafood gumbo, and jambalaya if you’re in the mood for something hearty. Overall: great flavors, fun spot, and definitely worth a visit.

My wife has been on an oyster kick recently; thus, I have been tasked with finding new and exciting places to shuck and suck throughout the region. Unsurprisingly, places with names such as "Eat: An Oyster Bar" are obviously going to get some immediate attention, as was the case this past weekend, when we stopped in for a dozen of the meaty molluscs, as well a cocktail or glass of wine, and a couple of appetizers. Having enjoyed the Pickering Passage oysters that we ordered at a different place last week, we went with what we knew, and ordered a dozen of those, along with some fried pickles and okra. The oysters arrived swiftly with lemon, horseradish and vinegar, to join the basket of hot sauces already present at our table. My wife and I found the flavors that worked best for us, and ma

A great oyster place on Williams Street in north Portland. They have oysters on the half shell at a reasonable price. And they are so good. They usually have several different kind of oysters. Their dishes are mostly Southern cooking. Their Po Boy sandwiches are the best. The service is good too.

This place is pretty cool when you walk in, its grab a menu and seat yourself style and its definitely got its own vibe. Thats pretty much where the cool factor stops. I wanted oysters and they have a solid selection. The menu showed all but one available. Our waiter showed up dropped the waters on the table asked if we were ordering, took my oysters order and then disappeared entirely for the following hour and 30 minutes we were in the restaurant. Didn't ask my partner if they wanted anything. Didn't ask if we wanted drinks. Notta. An hour later oysters arrived from a different staff member who informed me they were down to 3 and so he just gave me a dozen of the 3 types....which was highly disappointing as I am pretty particular and they put a type I knew I didnt love on their. First oy

Not the best food. found a piece of shell in our oysters. the red beans and rice was basically soup. the seafood gumbo didn’t come with half of what it says it does. the catfish wasn’t actually catfish it was tilapia. the mac and cheese was just as watery as about everything else we ate. the bartender/server who helped us with our drinks was the best part of the experience simply because of the service. unfortunately the food was not up to standard, personally. the nastiest part was the taxidermy deer on the wall that were covered in dust and hanging over the table. not the best experience for food that was, in total for 4 ppl, was $144
