Eastern Sierra Ice Cream Company

This is my favorite stop anytime I am driving up the 395 for a backpacking trip. The owners are kind and genuine. I always enjoy a chat with them when I stop by. The ice cream is AMAZING. Favorite flavor to date has been Sunshine. It's summer melting in your mouth.

Great ice cream. They have 3 vegan options. We tried vegan espresso and non-vegan lavender/honey. Both tasted great and were enjoyable during a hot day.

We stopped here on our way home from Crowley Lake. It's such an awesome ice cream shop. We spoke to the owners who were really sweet. They make all their ice cream on Tue, Wed, and Thur and are closed on those days. Open on Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon. The ice cream was amazing! They have a lot of different unusual flavors to choose from. This is definitely a place you'll want to visit. In this extremely hot day of 100 degrees we decided to stop off at this quaint cute ice cream location. The owners were super nice and gave us the low down on why they chose to move from orange county to Independence after retiring from the landscaping business. They built this little shop themselves! Amazing talent! And they make the most amazing ice cream! We couldn't get every single flavor but I guess in time we will because it was just sooo good. We wanted to try their honey lavendar, unfortunately we got there just after they sold their last scoop. So we got Pistacci-oh (yummmm), apple pie (seriously tasted just like a slice of pie with chunks of Apple, and a scoop of Coconut ice cream (smooth and rich).
