East Ridge City Library

Helpful and friendly staff. Not the biggest selection of books but they do allow you to request books that they don't have (also, to be expected considering the size of the city and the size of the library). They also have lots of (mostly free) events for different age ranges.

Not a bad collection for the local community. Staff is nice and helpful. Free wifi, great collection of books on American and local history. If you want more scholarly resources, downtown is a better option.

Customer service is excellent at the East Ridge Library! I told Alex I would be out of town when my books were due, so he kindly extended the due date. Kelly called to tell me that a book that I had been waiting for since February was in! She personally delivered it to me at the restaurant while I was eating lunch. Thank you both so much!

It's a small library compared with the Chatt Pubic ones, but living in East Ridge, it's not a bad option since it's free. They do have a list where you can request they purchase a book you want. They do orders once a month. The staff are friendly and helpful. I don't have kids but always see signs for fun activities they have going on for local children. Overall, a good library!

My wife and I were unable to get a library card due to the staff being very difficult. My wife’s driver license has a differing address, as we did not change her license address after our move to East Ridge 3 years ago. So we brought our home deed and electric bill, both with her legal name that matches her drivers license’s name. However, the staff declined to use the utility bill because the mailing address was for our previous apartment, even though it clearly listed the service address is our current East Ridge address. Very unfortunate that the staff were both rude about the situation and unable to use common sense to get a simple library card when it was very clear we live in East Ridge.
