East of Suez Restaurant

This restaurant is truly one of a kind. From the moment you walk in, you feel an atmosphere that’s unlike anywhere else — warm, inviting, and full of character. Serving incredible flavors from Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim, every dish feels thoughtful and unique. It’s a place that’s always been dear to my heart, not just for the amazing food, but for the experience and memories that come with every visit. A special spot that I’m always grateful to return to every summer!!

East of Suez is a comfortable restaurant serving Asian Fusion on Rt.28 in Wolfeboro. I want to give them 3 1/2 stars but google won't do that. We were seated in the main room at the back in a nicely sunlit room with a lovely view of the back yard and woods. Our waiter brought us the house "chips" which look like a fried foam. They are very tasty with a hint of shrimp flavor. East of Suez is BYOB and does not serve any alcohol, not even beer or wine. We did not know this and there is no mention of it on their website. Our waiter said they do provide setups and many of the other diners around us had wine and liquor. For starters we ordered the Summer Rolls which come with a "wild Gulf shrimp". Great “Pan-Asian” food during the heat of the summer. Screen porch dining is the best, or…..the “group room” for a festive semi-private night out!! At the end of the Summer Season (heading into fall), they have a special end-of-season buffet with some talented young jazz musicians !!

How did I just find out about this place last year?! The food is fresh and bold! I love the screened in dining room. The end of the year buffet is AMAZING! Great place, and great people.
