East Japanese Restaurant

Busy place with 2 servers during weekend dinner, long wait for everything. After more than 30 minutes wait, my karaage box arrived overcooked and burnt — it looked overdone and smelled burnt as well. I honestly don’t understand why this was served in the first place. Took me some time to find a server to ask for it to be remade. When the replacement finally arrived, it was another 30-minute wait. By then, my rice was already cold and my partner had finished his meal. We were essentially ready to leave at that point. Very disappointing experience overall.

We loved this restaurant! From the moment you walk in the atmosphere is just perfect. We opt for the traditional booth and it was an awesome experience. Tried different dishes and all of them were spectacular and full of flavor. Because we ordered thinking about sharing, we didn't care for the plates to come out one at a time, however, this may be an issue if each person is ordering their own meal. Regardless, we'll be coming back.

So glad I found here. Food is absolutely authentic, the seatings are designed so considerate that it feels almost private to dine in. This place is kept so clean and neat, and even the room tem water tasted good with no tap water aftertaste as is typical in restaurants. I'll not need to find other places for Japanese food yay 😊

My party of two waited for 20 minutes with no acknowledgement from the staff and left. I have wanted to eat here for a while and would have made a reservation, except they never answer the phone. They don't have a voicemail, it immediately hangs up. I'll try again next week because I really want to try the food and the atmosphere is great, very authentic. But 20 minutes with no acknowledgement of our existence is crazy customer service. I understand that the place is probably short-staffed, but even having a simple "Hello, there's a long wait" or a chalkboard so that people can properly queue would go a long way. I'll change my review when I eventually get the chance to eat here.

This is some of the best Japanese food I have ever eaten. The dining room is very nice and even offers booth seating where you take your shoes off and sit low to the ground. I have eaten here multiple times and have recommended it to everyone I know.
