Eagle Hills

This review is for evening dining. Service was excellent but waitress was not knowledgeable about the shrimp dinner. The shrimp looked wonderful and was cooked properly but was devoid of any flavor whatsoever, they were lacking any flavor one expects of shrimp, and I would not order again. The bacon wrapped pork medallion tasted fine, but was over cooked even for pork and I discovered after I left the restaurant that I was charged for two medallions instead of the one medallion I ordered and received. Chicken Kiev was prepared very well and tasted good. Best wings appetizer I've ever had. I would try dining at this restaurant again, and my impression is the restaurant is better at casual food dishes then fine dining dishes.

We were visiting Algona and the manager at the hotel suggested Eagle Hills. It's the club house of the golf course but open to the public. We split a flat iron steak with chimichurri and it was one of the best steaks we've had. Very tender and the chimichurri was fantastic. There was only one server taking care of the room which had a dozen or so tables and a small bar so the service was a bit slow but very friendly. As part of the club house the interior was nothing special but the view out the window of the course was great.

Prime rib on point. Burgers on point. Drinks are strong. Beer is ice cold.

Food was not good, service sucked, and everybody finished eating while some of us didn’t even get our food out yet. No accountability was taken or done for the inconvenience.
