Duncraig Manor

My husband and I visited this past fall and cannot wait to go back! The hospitality, flexibility, comfort, and ease of stay is unmatched to any vacation we have experienced. A walk through the gardens/patio, breakfast in the beautiful dining room (everything homemade & excellent), and great shopping just a quick trip down the road. I highly recommend a weekend stay here to unwind & enjoy the charm of Southern Pines!

Our first trip to Southern Pines was extraordinary because of the warmth and total pampering of our hosts Caroline and Don and the “home away from home” feeling of Duncraig Manor. Duncraig Manor is an exquisitely appointed English Tudor house with all the comforts you can imagine. No expense was spared in the restoration of this magnificent estate. Every room has different decorating details and all include amenities that have been thoughtfully provided, from powerful Wi-Fi to a gas fireplace to beautiful fabrics and furnishings. ||The breakfasts were homemade and lovingly prepared with individualized attention to our dietary needs and desires. The beautiful dining room looks out on the garden and terrace. Complementary coffee, tea, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages were available 24/7 in

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Duncraig Manor & Gardens. Reservations were simple to make online. We booked the converted carriage house and loved the privacy it offered! We were able to come & go as we pleased without disturbing others. The grounds were beautiful & extremely quiet, even with a daytime event going on during the week in the manor house. The converted carriage house is stocked with basic tools needed to cook meals; the small stove works perfectly and the refrigerator is large. The kitchen offers ample counter space. The best feature for us was the dual reclining love seat to decompress with some tv in the evenings. There was plenty of storage for clothes and the bed was super comfy. The owners & Innkeeper were very welcoming and accommodating.

My wife and I had the opportunity to spend one night in the newly opened cottage suite. We were charmed by the history and beauty of the home, as well as Don and Caroline's hospitality. The cottage suite was very private and we had everything we needed to feel at home. Caroline's breakfast, which included French toast and bacon, was delicious and we enjoyed her company sharing some of her and Don's history in the industry. ||||The home, as well as the grounds, are beautiful and it's obvious that Don and Caroline have put their heart and soul into restoring this magnificent property. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night. We hope to come back soon and highly recommend the Duncraig Manor for anyone looking for a B&B in the Southern Pines area.

The owners accommodated our VERY last minute request for two nights at the Inn. We actually were offered the cottage--an incredible updated detached garage that has been restored into a stunning, warm and modern studio apartment. The king bed was comfortable, the hospitality and service were unmatched. We were able to choose our breakfast time--and each morning we were greeted like royalty! The breakfast was probably the best I'd had at an inn ever--and that is saying a lot since I professionally plan events and review hotels/inns for a living! You will not be dissapointed. I am already trying to work out how I bring my next corporate event to this wonderful space. 10/10!!
