Dreydon House Bed & Breakfast

I enjoyed my 3-night stay at Dreydon House B&B. Janis and Bill are kind and friendly hosts. I also appreciated Bill generously giving me a lift downtown a couple times. The room is downstairs with a private bathroom. Stay also includes a tasty breakfast and good coffee. The location is about 1.5 miles from town not a problem if you’re driving. .

We were very happy with our choice of B&B on the Big Sur near Hearst Castle at Dreydon House, home of Bill and Janis. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we had our own key and separate entrance to their home. Bill and Janis were warm and friendly hosts and made available 2 rooms for my husband and I, with a huge choice of DVDs to watch in an evening and an excellent cooked breakfast the next morning. We enjoyed getting to know them over our morning chats at breakfast time and they gave us good advice as to how to get to Sequoia National Park when we left them, as well as suggestions for the remainder of our tour of California, to include Eureka and the coastal redwoods in the Humbolt Redwoods Park. Looking for a place to stay between Carmel and Ventura we found this place. The place is located a short distance from Cambria and close to Hearst Castle. You get 2 rooms ( 1 Queen & 2 x Single ) mini fridge, microwave, tea & coffee facilities. The rooms are clean, tidy and the bed is very comfortable. On top of this you get a fully cooked breakfast daily by the hosts Bill & Janis. You won't go hungry and I would highly recommend you select the sausages. Very reasonably priced and highly recommended to the budget minded traveller who is tired of staying in motels. Overall excellent value. Not to be missed.

The house is a mile or two from town and we spotted deer on the way!||Bill and Janis were exceptional hosts. They were very accommodating, explaining all of the accommodations and giving us great recommendations for dinner (we went to Linn's!). ||For chilling out after dinner, they had an extensive selections of DVDs.||Breakfast was delicious! They gave us several choices. We especially enjoyed visiting with Bill and Janis during breakfast. It was a great way to start our day.

Thjks lovely B&B in a quiet neighborhood hood in Cambria is a must visit if you're looking for an affordable place to stay that provides an amazing breakfast! There are only two bedrooms and a bathroom provided on the first floor of this B&B so there is no common area. There are tvs in both rooms and lots of seating available. Bill and Janis are amazing hosts and cook a wonderful breakfast with huge portions. The coffee and juice are delicious too. This place is about 10 minutes from downtown Cambria so you're nearby to a fun area. Thanks for a great experience!
