Downstate Newburgh

I’ve been trying to come here for weeks and it’s always packed! Today I hung around to wait for a table and one opened up quickly- so glad to have finally ordered… it’s popular for a reason! This food is insanely good. The chilaquiles are the best I’ve ever had. Loved the beet carrot orange juice. Excited to see they have espresso tonic and Mexican hot chocolate on the menu! I’ll be back. Like… every day. Five stars!

From the bright and open atmosphere to the delicious and thoughtful dishes, Downstate has absolutely nailed the vibe in their newly opened Liberty Street location. Friendly help and the neighborhood vibe that in a visit or two, makes you feel like everyone will know your name. Run, don’t walk—especially since they’re open 7 days a week. Our party had the Mexican hot chocolate with oat milk, Albañil breakfast platter, papas con queso, avocado huarache, chilaquiles and ginger shots: 10/10 on everything. 👌🏽

Love this place. Was having mixed feelings about them at first but I feel that ever since they relocated the food & service has gone up. So this has become my fav go to place for amazing coffee and good food and the baristas are so soo kind and welcoming. 🥰

Servers were very friendly, food came quickly and was good, cute quiet place until customers arrive. Seating area is small for the amount of customers that ended up arriving at about 11:15/11:30am and the seated customers around me were complaining that it was cold. (It's winter right now) Cold to the point that my food and tea ended up cold before I could finish it. With the amount of people standing and waiting I felt a bit rushed to finish my food.

Went here three days in a row for breakfast because I had to try everything on the menu! The food is so delicious! Seating is really limited soo be prepared, you may have to take it to go.
