We ate there about 2pm in the afternoon and there were not very many patrons there. However, the food was good. My granddaughter, 12 yrs old, said it was the best hamburger she has ever ate and she should know she eats hamburgers everywhere she goes. She is a burger connoisseur for sure. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and it was okay, a little dry, but the honey mustard sauce was great.
We’ve been here twice and both times we’ve really enjoyed our sandwiches. The Pastrami Tsunami I had today was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. They could offer a few better side options, lower the prices (small bag if chips for $2.25), or have a combo deal, but it was still great.
Love this place. We were made to feel so welcome. Everyone loved the fact we were Scottish. Doug is a sweet heart. He welcomed us with complimentary Cheese Grits and great conversation. We saw him treating the families kids with free cookies too. A real family atmosphere with great home Meade healthy or hearty food. I love the open kitchen because you can see the food handling, cleanliness and practices all of which looked great. It’s an American trait to have a lot of disposable cutlery, styrofoam and plastics, so I hope Doug’s can lead the way in this next step to reducing this waste. We definitely recommend it and will visit again.
Stopped by while in town, and found Doug’s. Very good sandwich, and had the best oatmeal cream pie I have ever had.
If I could give zero stars I would. I’ve been coming here for years but today I went in and ordered 2 half and half wrap/salads. I was given the most pathetically small portion of a wrap (reminder that it’s supposed to be a half) and when I unrolled it, it was clearly a sliver of a tortilla that they cut and wrapped. This happened with both of the wraps. Evidently they have decided to cut costs by scamming you on the portion sizes. If this is how Doug has decided to conduct business then I will avoid giving him my money and advise everyone else to do the same. I do not blame the workers as this was obviously a decision made by management to go out of their way and cut the tortillas into quarters before wrapping it. Don’t go here unless you want to pay to still be hungry afterward.
