I ordered 4 live lobsters to be delivered to my son and his family. 3 of the 4 arrived dead. I called the following day to report this. Well, they said I should have called immediately, and my daughter in law should have cooked the lobsters within a couple of hours! 1st of all, how do we know how long the lobsters were dead? And 2nd, my daughter in law has never cooked a lobster and her family, my son and grandchildren would not have been home for hours. I specifically chose a day when I knew they would be home for dinner and I paid $159.99 for four 1.25lb LIVE lobsters. They offered to give me a credit for the dead lobsters (excluding shipping), toward another order. So, they want me to pay for the shipping that was inadequate in the first place. Horrible service. I would NEVER

Poor customer service. Ordered two live lobsters from Dorr Lobster for my father's birthday for same day delivery. Order was never shipped. Called them five times in the morning and left two messages. No return call. Filled out contact us form on web site, no response. Finally got them to answer phone late in the afternoon. Person who answered the phone confirmed Dorr Lobster did did not fill order. No apology and no offer to make it right. He offered to refund my money. So my father's lobster dinner for his 90th birthday did not happen. Thanks Dorr Lobster,...for nothing.

' I'm originally from Maine, living in California. We occasionally order from Dorr Lobster and have very satisfied each time. We also have introduced some of our friend to Lobster and the all have enjoyed it immensely. Will be ordering again soon. Thank you.

Worst ever place of business. I read their shipping FAQs. Placed an order at 3pm for shipment the next day. Paid in full. Two days later they called to say they still had not shipped my order. When I got upset. Hung up on me and cancelled the order. Get your lobster from anywhere else!!!

We were craving Maine lobster from home and through some research found Dorr Lobster Co. Placed an order and it arrived on specified date, which was great! Admittedly, I was a bit anxious to receive the order because we still saw it under a status of "awaiting fulfillment" until an hour before the order arrived. So, aside from the anxiety of receiving our yummy shipment on time, all was pretty good. I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because in the order I did request 2 whoopie pies for $14. While this price is a bit steep, had you ever had true Maine whoopie pies you'd understand. However, I was deeply disappointed to see they weren't homemade (as anyone (at least a Maine gal like myself) would hope) or at least Isamax Wicked Whoopie Pies.
