DiMaggio's Italian Pizza

OH MY WORD!! THIS FOOD!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Great New Spot for Pizza, Sandwiches, & Pasta on Evansville’s North Side!! I recently tried this new pizza place that also serves sandwiches and pasta, and it was an awesome experience! We ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, a roast beef sandwich (which reminds me of sir beef, IYKYK), a calzone, and Bosco sticks. Everything was fresh and flavorful, but the real standout was the marinara sauce — you can absolutely tell it’s homemade. It’s rich, perfectly seasoned, and takes the food to another level. The sandwiches were generously filled and delicious, and the calzone had the perfect balance of cheese and fillings, especially when dipped in that incredible marinara. Pizza was great. The sauce I heard was a little sweet and I agree it does have a sweet flavor to it. The breadsticks seemed to harden a little fast but went well with the dips which outlasted the smaller portion of bread in comparison. Overall worth a repeat. The medium pizza looked like a large to me which was ok.

Just giving an honest review based on my taste and my experience. The ham and cheese sandwich comes with tomatoes and lettuce and they wrapped the toppings separately which was great! The sandwich tasted good. The bread was especially good. The amount of ham on the sandwich was honestly a little ridiculous. One small thin slice on the sandwich. Unfortunate. It was $13.25 for one thin slice of ham. Stingy. The chefs salad was just okay. The Kraft packaged ranch does not taste good. Again, stingy on the toppings. Maybe about half of a slice of thin ham and maybe 2 pepperonis. The lettuce was really fresh and crispy and clean. Just disappointed in the stingy amount of toppings. Northside Evansville just got lucky! You can't beat the sweet sauce, crispy crust and it's from an Egde Conveyor pizza oven. It tastes like it came from the brick oven. They only use the highest quality ingredients and you can tell from each bite. I should have gotten a canoli but it slipped my mind. They are so good, I tried them at the Mt. Vernon location. I really wanted to like this place, but the pizza sauce and bread stick sauce were over the top sweet! Adding the option between that sweet sauce and a more traditional sauce would be my suggestion. Otherwise we won't be returning.
