Diffy's Family Restaurant

My family came to Diffy's family restaurant Sunday evening. We shared a plate of mozzarella sticks and breaded mushrooms. I had a crispy chicken sandwich with fries, my husband had a fish hoagie which was quite large with onion rings, my daughter had a pizza burger she said it was " meh" the sauce wasn't too good. My granddaughter had the grilled cheese with Apple sauce. She loved hers. The server was attentive and the prices were really reasonable for all the food we received. A good deal!

I ordered the food, but when I went to pick it up, it was not ready. The person only put the order in at that exact moment. They claimed they were "just finishing up," but I still had to wait for a half-hour. I thought, "Mashed potatoes and meatloaf are not baking items; they just need to scoop it into a container." How difficult is that? It was the restaurant's fault for not having it ready when I called, and it should have been ready half an hour ago.

Diffy’s is a Great stop if you’re in the area! We normally stop in a couple times a year when we go to Shippensburg for something. Every time the fries have been perfectly cooked! Perfect crisp nice size for soft potato inside. Burgers and Grilled Cheese on point as usual on Sunday.

There was a sign to seat yourself so we did. No server came to our table. I asked about service and was told they didn't see us sitting there. Really? Finally a server came over and took our order. We ordered our food. Everything came out at once including the soup and salad which I would have preferred before the main meal. The server said she would bring more napkins. We never saw any. She never checked on us again until she gave us the bill. My husband did like his haddock. I had chicken tenders and they were horrible. I went up to pay the bill and was ignored again for a bit. It was a frustrating meal.

We love Diffy's!! While we do not live close enough to go very often, we do make it a point to go every time we are in the area! The food is always delicious and served fresh / hot! The staff is very friendly and extremely attentive. We would love it if they released a "History of Diffy's" book with the photos of their origins - we would definitely buy it!
