First time at Diego’s and we’ll definitely be back. Great food, chill atmosphere, and a super welcoming spot for kids and dogs. Loved the outdoor seating and how relaxed everything felt—no stress, just good eats. Staff was friendly and patient, which always matters when you’ve got kids with you. Awesome local find in Grass Valley.

Diego's is such a fabulous little place that has delicious food but amazing dining environment. The owner is such a sweet heart who named it after her grandson. I have been here twice and it is now a MUST GO TO while in Penn Valley and Grass Valley area. Cheers, well done ✅

So, it was a problem... I was doing great with my low carb diet and found a grilled vegetable salad on the menu that was delicious. I carefully separated my potatoes and was happy that I found the strength to not eat them! But, then, we spoke with one of the owners and she insisted on bringing us a complimentary dessert. This was when the problem started because I really thought I had enough self control to just eat one... small... bite.... Nope. The chocolate bread pudding with ice cream was too good. We shared it at our table and ate it all. Today, I have no regrets and would gladly give up my diet to have that dessert again. My wife was going to have one small bite "just to be polite"... She has no regrets either. My only other complaint is that I thought the prices were a litt

First time trying out this local legend of a restaurant but certainly not the last! We took a chance showing up without a reservation but got seated straight off. The hostess was fun and friendly with a great sense of humor and understood our vibe right away. The fun started with speedy delivery of beverages and delicious bread made right on site, and Quinn, our server, knew the menu inside and out and helped us make good decisions. My swordfish was cooked perfectly and was tender and delicious. My brother’s stuffed poblano was spicy and on point. The place has a comfortable and quirky atmosphere. The whole experience was fun and affordable and I plan to become a regular customer starting right now!
