Chang Thong

Our third time eating at Chang Thong Asian Cuisine - Pho & Ramen Thai Food in Grass Valley. We return because we love the calm, quiet atmosphere, the lovely decor, the excellent food and very friendly service. The place has been very tastefully designed and is immaculately clean. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed each dish we had.

I usually never give a full 5 star review on a place before. But this small hole in the wall Thai restaurant was amazing. The staff are extremely nice and welcoming, food was quick and good! Wide variety of unique Thai food and common from avocado spring rolls too pho noodles. Interesting "cons" I noticed: - Water was 100% Tap/faucet water - Very "posh" atmosphere, very quiet but calm That's all, seriously! If you have good manners and can be quiet, place is a 100%. But if those are your strong suit, being nice is the best thing to do. Food overall is just amazing, nothing to note.

Despite the summer heat we had a craving for ramen. Oh man this place did NOT disappoint. The atmosphere is so relaxing with jazz playing at the perfect volume. And everyone was so kind. There’s even wall art of an AI elephant. Neat. If you are a fan of ramen but also pho, get the tamtam ramen. It’s a savory ramen with flavors similar to pho! It was incredible! We wish we lived nearby to get it again!

Excellent food, friendly service, and nice atmosphere. We had the Pad Thai and Ramen, and both were delicious. The Tonkotsu Ramen was comfort in a bowl with a warm, flavorful broth with delicious and tender pork. The Pad Thai was addicting. The portions were nice and big, which made me and my husband excited to have leftovers! All for a great price.

The food is exceptionally good at Chang Thong! The pho noodle soup broth was so flavorful and delicious that I did not add any sauces or seasonings. It was perfect already. All of the food is very fresh and prepared with care and love. The owners are absolutely wonderful people who are happy to be doing what they are doing. Last time I had one of the ramen noodle with pork belly soups. It was amazingly good! If you love Asian food you must dine at Chang Thong!
