Dickson County Public Library

I have been there several times, and I do appreciate that this is a new and nice looking library. However, it’s disheartening that the staff can be very rude, and their late charges are high. I was charged 24 dollars for returning 3 items a week past-due. Nashville libraries do not have late fees. It just a bummer that the Dickson library doesn’t seem to have its priorities straight.

This library has easy access of a large parking lot. Inside is open with lots of sitting space. The Wi-Fi is open and no password needed. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms are clean. Update: Patrons are no longer allowed to use the bathrooms in the library. That is a shame but I guess that privilege was abused by some so all have to suffer a little. Minus one star for that.

This place use to be great, but it’s just going down hill primarily because of several staff members. I’ve had a card for a decade but the short brownish haired lady wanted to update my info and had a hissy because I wouldn’t give her my new phone number. ( she kept her badge facing her so I couldn’t get her name) then she goes and gossips about me to the other shirt brown haired lady… that’s just sad… there is always more staff then customers, might want to reduce staff and if so keep the good o es

Never have the books I need, but have plenty of video games....Sad
