Deola Cuisines. a.k.a. SS Express

Upon walking in the ladies greeted me and told me my food would be out shortly. This was my first time here & I even tried their Ankara while I waited and it was delicious. I called in my order for the red snapper to go in my stew however I didn’t want the pounded yam cause I typically eat it with plantains. They’re conveniently located downtown and were all very personable and I can’t wait to come back!

Uber eats order: OLD FISHERMAN SOUP! Mushy crab hard fish. Very dangerous to serve. Please get rid of which ever one of those cooks that do not care about the food they serve to people because I ordered The fisherman stew twice. The first time is what made me order it again. It was so delicious although it was spicy the second time it was not the same at all. I don’t see how fish can be tough. Also, my order took forever to get here it was two hours so obviously it was overcooked. I don’t want to take the chance again bad food although the first time it was delicious. Also the second time it was too spicy to eat and no snails. $40 is to much to pay to take a chance between good and horrible. I was afraid to get sick and threw it out.

We were driving from Columbus to Atlanta late at night and craving some good food. Sister Rasheeda at Deola Cuisines guided us to order the Sesame Chicken with Jollof Rice, and wow—it was super delicious. The flavors were amazing, and it made our late-night drive so much better. I will NEVER come here again. I’m honestly really disappointed that I can’t get a refund on this horrible food. My food didn’t even fill the entire container, it was like 45% filled. The goat meat I ordered was sooooooo tough. I couldn’t even eat half of it, and it was full of bones and tough meat. The flavor wasn’t there either and looked absolutely nothing like the photos they show online. I literally had to ask them for the red sauce that’s pictured on their website. Please stay far away from this place if you care about not wasting money.

Outstanding customer service! My order arrived right on time, and the food was absolutely delicious. Deola’s Cuisines truly stands out as one of the best places for authentic African food in Atlanta. Their honesty, professionalism, and commitment to quality keep me coming back. Highly recommended!
