Denville Twp Public Library

Spent over 2 hours working on a resume. Was making sure to save all my work consistently. Once computer timed out all my work was deleted even though I had saved it. Employee told me after the fact that if I was using Microsoft Word I would have to email it to myself in order to save my work. I should have been informed of this prior. I will not be coming back to this library :(

Great staff, plenty of video games and DVD to borrow!

I cannot begin to say how grateful I am for the members of The Denville Public Library Staff. They are courteous, knowledgeable and committed to their work. It is always a pleasure to visit our beautiful library and to be greeted by staff who value their patrons.

Libraries are supposed to be a silent and peaceful environment where you can retreat to get some work done. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I came in with my sons to do homework and there were teenagers on the computer carrying on and laughing loudly with complete disregard of library rules and completely disrespectful of the other guests. I approached the librarian with my concerns and was told that they’re in the “TEEN” space and they are allowed to talk. If it were just quietly whispering, that would be okay, but to carry on like you were in a coffee shop , I think that’s beyond acceptable. Also, very disappointed with the librarians who allowed for this behavior. Shame on them! Denville library is a NO GO if you want a quiet space. You’re better of heading to Starbucks.

For a small library, it's really nice and quaint. The staff is really nice as well. I've been in the dumps for almost a month and a half now, and my luck growing only worse and worse every passing day. So as long as having the day off, decided to go out and to the a library that's not of my own town's. Just so I can get out and in an environment of one of two types of places that I know I find the biggest peace, and some fresh breath of air while in hopes of getting some writing done. To the librarian that was sitting by the computers/charging tables area - Thank you so much for standing up for me from the man that began to take his kicks.
