Deer Stand Cafe

We went for lunch/supper. I had planned on getting a cheeseburger with a fried egg on top but then looked at the specials. We got the fish plate and substituted the rice and beans/coleslaw for a cup of gumbo. Probably the most delicious meal I have had in a very long time. The hush puppies were so delicious and the gumbo was a masterpiece. Service was great and the people were so friendly. Do yourself a favor and go to this little gem!

Cozy family-owned cafe serving up fresh homemade fare. Enjoyed Indian Tacos and Pulled Pork Sandwich for lunch, topped of with a fresh, fluffy, sweet cinnamon roll that easily served 3. If the kitchen has Apple Bullets when you're there, don't miss them!

WOW!!! Just wow, the staff is absolutely amazing and friendly with great service. Between the burgers and fries, the fried fish and beans, the chicken spaghetti, and THE BUCK breakfast the party of 14 we had not a single dish that was bad. The food was all very very good with great flavor and taste to fill BIGFOOT!!!!! I almost forgot... THE HOME MADE ICE CREAM served in a cone is the best!!!!

Breakfast was pretty good. The eggs and bacon were delicious but the biscuits and gravy were a 0/10 - they had absolutely no flavor. I don't mean they could have used more flavor... I mean they literally had no taste to them. It was like eating clay. The service was good and the restaurant was extremely clean and well decorated. I will be going back for sure but I'll get toast next time.

We are so happy we stopped here on our roadtrip. There's plenty of parking and the food is fresh and deliciously prepared. Highly recommend the venison burger and spicy chicken tenders.
