The guys here are super friendly and kind! The food is phenomenal! Highly recommend this place as a must stop for your brisket or ribs or sausage! We ate every bite and had to roll out and to the car!

Food 5 stars: had brisket, sausage, Mac n chz and green beans. Finished it off with banana pudding. Enjoyed it all! Service 5 stars: came on Sunday afternoon Sep. 21st. The gentleman working that day was super nice and friendly. Atmosphere 5 stars: this places gives the feel of an old school grocer. No bells and whistles but super charming.

Taylor TX has some good bbq my new favorite is the brisket at Davis Grocery & BBQ. Old school counter service, homemade sides, delicious brisket. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed! They even gave my pup a sample I confess I ate Layla’s burnt ends 😂

Not wanting to stand in line in the 95 degree heat of central Texas, we decided to go to the other barbeque place in Taylor. This was by far the best decision that the Mrs. made the entire week. This place, I would call a hole in the wall that seemed to be visited more by the locals than the tourists. This was without a doubt the best baby back ribs I've had in a long time. I also sampled the brisket and sausage, also both very good. The food was so good we decided to make life easy for father's day and get some to go and take with us back to Louisiana. Highly recommend!

Davis bbq is some of the best dang bbq I have ever had. Meet falls off the bone, their cabbage is the best I have eaten, and everyone was so friendly. Honestly, best bbq in a long long time. Next time we are here, we will be back!!
