Darien Hunan Kitchen

This is one of our go to Asian food restaurants. It serves both Chinese and Japanese food, both options are delicious. Their sushi is very fresh and I order it often. The restaurant is classy but family friendly. The servers are friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for great Asian food. They are just as good for dine in as it is for take out!

Absolutely Outstanding! Hunan Kitchen in Darien is hands-down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Fairfield County. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a welcoming smile and the comforting aroma of authentic Chinese cuisine. The staff is genuinely friendly, attentive, and clearly take pride in what they do. Every dish we tried was exceptional. Most extensive Asian Fusion menu available in the extended area. For Darien and restaurants that touch the town line, this one’s hard to beat. I counted 24 seated people walk in before my party arrived and was ready to go somewhere else… but knew the food was good and called everyone to the restaurant. So I said “let’s roll with it…” - the large group sat so far away in a whole separate area and what I really love about this place is that I still had room to spread out and stretch my legs after a hard workout. No food wait, no wait staff issues the place handled everything like the restaurant boss they are. It is hard to get every thing perfect but this chill, unassuming establishment never disappoints.

I'm from Stamford and this is our go to spot for good Chinese food! My family's favorites are the sesame chicken, beef and broccoli, vegetable fried rice, and the crab rangoon. Everything always tastes very fresh. The staff is incredible too!

Rio was truly the best server I could have hoped for. He was incredibly accommodating and consistently went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful dining experience. I would rate his service a perfect 10/10 and couldn’t recommend him more highly.
