My husband and I ate here for lunch yesterday. We were so impressed. We will probably go once a week. The chili beans were the best I’ve ever had in the free ice cream makes it over the top. The small portion meals are huge. Everything was scrumdiddlyumptious.

Husband got the deluxe grilled chicken sandwich and h couldn’t eat it all. I got the pioneer hamburger steak and it was so flavorful. Dee was our waitress and she was precious.

This was our second visit, and I am pleased to say it was as good as the first visit. We had 2 granddaughters with us both of whom ordered off the children's menus. Usually they need a bit of coaxing and reminders to eat, but not here. They ate their entrees, but could not finish the generous portion of french fries with their meal. The complementary Blue Bell was a big hit, with nice generous servings. My husband loves the chicken fried steak, declaring it better the second time around. A busy place means the wait staff is bustling, but not to busy to stop and be friendly. The gentleman bussing tables was also personable and eager to help. The PRICES! They can not be beaten in these difficult economic times. Thus is sure to become one of our favorite places to dine.

This place serves some delicious Southern style cooking meals with complimentary chili beans and ice cream. Have been here several times over the years-never disappointed. Today we had the chicken fried chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes and the grilled chicken platter(Swiss cheese, mushrooms, onions) with grilled cabbage and mashed potatoes with gravy. Yummy!!😋

If you're in Tyler, you must visit this restaurant. Best Chicken Fried Steak ever, with my meal I got free Chili and Blue Bell ice cream. Friendly staff. Delicious food
