Dalzell Dairy

I had the Vanilla Malt Shake and my wife had a Flurry with Butterfinger and Heath Bar---both were excellent! Dalzell Dairy is a very nice treat after biking from Traverse City to Suttons Bay. The place was busy but the staff was courteous and quick.

Very good value ice cream stand. They have it all, customer service is great. Love the Dole Whip options and love the reasonably sized kiddie option so the kids are not too wound up! Didn't get anything too fancy so not sure on the quality of the more labor intensive items, but didn't give any reason to expect they aren't great too.

Went here for a hot afternoon ice cream treat. My Cherry milkshake was fabulous. (Use one of those bigger diameter straws to get all the cherry goodness.) My wife had a "peanut butter cup" Flurry which, unfortunately, every scoop of ice cream had 4-5 mini-peanut butter cups which were frozen and quite hard so it was hard to enjoy the frozen confection. She did enjoy the ice cream. Also, for the value and amount = very good, well worth the money. We'd both still recommend this ice cream stop. :)

Our kids got the ice cream, I finished theirs because even they said it was just was ok, prices were high for some meh product. But that’s not what I recommend getting. We got malt shakes and goodness gracious brace yourself. It tasted like they use legit malt. I have no idea but it tasted like my childhood. A++++ will absolutely go back. Worth the stop. Malt shakes. Malt shakes. Malt shakes. Stop the ice cream and just do malt shakes.

Beautiful family owned business. Many ice cream choices. Very tasty dole whip. Gluten free cone available. Kind and thoughtful staff and owners. Very clean. Excellent spot to stop and be refreshed. Well worth any wait because it is a really busy spot with really yummy options.
