Dalu Hawaiian BBQ

Food is tasty. Not the fastest but worth a little patience. Self serve pina and horchata are unique. I have never seen that. Any issues were addressed immediately by the dude at the counter. Support this place. We need more restaurants that serve it up like this!

Alejandro helped us out and we got katsu curry, pineapple tofu, and a spam musubi. The food was great. So happy they have a vegan section. Not sure if the Mac salad was vegetarian but I hope it is or that they can provide a veggie Mac salad option.

Good vibes, good music, clean and spacious, plenty of seating and high chairs available for the littles. We got the bbq mix plate and katsu mix plate to eat inside and everything was delicious. Portions are extremely generous and shareable. Service was amazing and I appreciate that they immediately offered an extra plate and utensils for our toddler. The only minor knock we had was that we would’ve liked if the food came out steaming, but we are people who love eating food that is piping hot! Definitely would recommend for families and would absolutely come again to try the malasadas!

Dalu has quickly become one of my family “go-tos” for take out. Their menu is massive and everybody can easily find something that they like. The prices on some items can be a little high, but their portions are very large. My wife and I often get the “two item combo plate” and split. Korean Chicken and Teriyaki Chicken are our favorites. We also love the variety of musubis. And all musubis are only $1.99 on Monday, which is great. They have an app and we order using that, but they’re also available on most platforms like DoorDash and GrubHub. Overall, it’s been a great addition to the neighborhood for my family and we will keep coming back. Thanks Dalu!

February 2026. Disappointed. I’ve been here a few times. Brought my Hawaiian relatives here back in October or November 2025, and they thought it was on par to their L&L restaurants back on the islands. Dalu had just opened then. It was even featured in an issue of Osider Magazine. Since then, I’ve been disappointed with my orders. My main issue has been with the kalua pork and lau lau plate. I tried it twice. The first time it was definitely on the dry side. The second time the kalua pork was way to salty, watery, and dark as if it had been marinated in soy sauce. IT WAS TERRIBLE. But I was too embarrassed to complain. That was a mistake. It’s too bad. The place is very clean and well maintained. The people behind the counter are genuinely friendly.
