Dairy Queen of Alvarado

I have been to a lot of DQs and by far this was best experience. The entire staff was friendly, engaging and polite. You could tell by the activity and interaction between them they were all working. Our order came out fairly fast. Not something most DQs are known for. We were greeted and thanked for coming in. The manager was continually interacting with her team to check on things. THIS is how a restaurant should be run. Felt like a Chik Fil E. That is meant as a compliment. Well done. We have made a note that this will be our DQ stop on return trips from Austin. Side note. Needed a bit more chocolate in the chocolate blast blizzard

I ordered a steak finger basket, 15 minutes before getting to the location. I got there and seen a box in the window, they said it wasn't mine. I waited 15 minutes more and they handed me that same box. Not only was it cold by this time but they gave me chicken strips instead of steak fingers. They quickly corrected my issue but I feel like they still served the chicken tenders that my sick child already touched to another unsuspecting customer. I could be wrong. Then we order a mini blizzard at the end of our meal. After about 5 minutes I went to the counter and waited for it cause we were ready to leave. I recently visited Dairy Queen in Alvarado, and I was incredibly impressed by the entire experience. The chicken finger basket was cooked to perfection – the chicken and fries were delicious, and the gravy was excellent. The lobby was immaculate and spotless; it's clear this location is exceptionally well-maintained and has a sophisticated, welcoming look. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with utmost kindness and respect. The service was incredibly fast, taking maybe only two minutes, yet without compromising on quality. You can truly feel the dedication of the management and staff here. Went here for the Veterans Day meal. Lady manager asked to see my ID to verify i am a veteran, which is fine, although never been asked before. Afterwards, no thanks for your service or anything, just a rude hostile attitude that made me never want to visit your store again. Rest of the staff was nice, but that manager should not have a job. To be treated like that on Veterans Day is an absolute disgrace

So ridiculous the only word I have is.. trash. Gave me a huge drink (leaking) with kids fries and they were hard. Had to throw away. Then the burger lol. Bun was dried out and patty was cold. They forgot the cheese and tomato and there was barely any lettuce. The bread was hard and stale. The fried were hard. They gave me my banana split and had me waiting 15mins so I melted before I even drove off. SMH.
