Dairy Queen

This is an old-school Dairy Queen, a throwback to yesteryear in remote Breckenridge, Texas, a welcome sight along a lonely stretch of Highway 180. I doubt the decor has changed since the 1980s, and I love it. The store even has stained glass murals on the ceiling depicting oil wells, a nod to the industry that drives rural Texas. The service was excellent, with friendly young people running this outlet. The fries were very fresh, and the pepper gravy was actually quite good and appropriately peppery. The buttered toast was alright, and the chicken fingers are better than most Dairy Queens. Kudos to the fine people of Breckenridge for upholding the DQ name!

No more. My steak fingers were stuck together so they didn't cook all the way through. At least the fries and gravy were OK. The toast was toast,so they nailed that.

Best “Dude” and then Blizzard that I have had in forever. DQs haven’t been updated in years, but this one is clean and appears to be well managed.

Ordered a hunger buster meal fries were old ans stale. If i pay for fresh fries I would like to recieve fresh fries.

Went through the drive through at 9:25 (they close at 10) for ice cream and service was horrible. Person taking my order acted like we were such an inconvenience to him. Not to mention the workers that I saw lacked some serious hygiene. It should be mandatory that your nails must be kept short and CLEAN. This guys REAL nails were at least an inch long and so dirty. I couldn’t even eat my food because of the way I saw them handling it. Bare hands inside of ice cream cups, wiping hands on their shirts/pants after making an ice cream. Did not see them wash hands in between any orders at all. Terrible experience.
