I can't give enough praise for this incredible cafe/restaurant (although I'll try). Tl;dr though: whether you work in the nearby building or are just driving by, you absolutely have to stop by Daffodil Cafe for their amazing food, warm service, and cheerful ambience. Food: I've tried essentially every item on the menu, and honestly nothing disappoints. Everything is carefully thought through, made fresh from high quality ingredients, with a distinctive flair. Highly recommend items from me are the Frittata (mushroom+sundried tomatoes, with a flavorful house-made chimichurri sauce), the Belgian Waffles (crunchy outside, soft inside with a gentle buttlemilk flavor), and the Bacon/Egg/Cheese Burrito (can't go wrong but still excellent). Customer service is top tier. Best service that I’ve ever had at a cafe! I was greeted with a warm welcome and smile as soon as I walked in. I came for the grilled cheese and a chill place to work, but I was convinced to get the tomato soup and I’m glad that I did. It wasn’t too sweet, which in this case was a good thing. I say that because I took a chance to try their hot sauce that they provide; Zab’s hot sauce. The perfect balance of sweet and spicy. It took a simple yet well done meal to a whole new level. The grilled cheese was as phenomenal as I expected it to be but overall, there’s nothing like getting more than what you anticipated. We came across this hidden little gem while browsing La Jolla. It is in La Jolla commons so plenty of spaces for parking & they also validate parking. If you are looking for clean, fresh light food with so much flavour this is the spot. Very refreshing to find somewhere that deserves a review with 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️. Niddia is the manager and so attentive & friendly so much so when my husband was ordering his cookie she warmed it up. We came here for breakfast and delighted to have found such a lovely spot. The owner and staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. The food is so good. Every dish is a 10. Best waffles in San Diego. I hope they open on weekends soon!

Pretty spacious interior with cute decor. The food was not bad and pretty filling with decent portions. Both the avocado toast and lox toast had so much stuff on it and was really filling. The cafe can validate parking for an hour, but after that the parking is paid.
