Daddy B’s BBQ Pearl District

First visit here. I had the loaded baked potato with chopped beef, side of fried okra, and baked beans. Food was prepared fresh and served hot. Service was great as was the atmosphere. Their motto is “Serving Jesus and BBQ.” Amen! Great place for BBQ outside downtown Tulsa.

We ordered takeout for New Years Eve. Excellent chopped brisket, pulled pork, and smoked sausage. As a customer the service and tipping policy impressed me the most. The nicest young man chatted with me and made sure everything was in correct for the order. Just when I was ready to be asked to tip on a takeout order like ALL restaurants do these days, the young man asked if I wanted my receipt and told me “Have a happy New Year” Tipping demand is out of control. It was nice to order a takeout meal with not traditional service provided and not feel pressured to tip. I will be returning here for the legit bbq, but also for takeout. It’s not too much to ask to charge me what you think your product is worth, pay your people what they are worth, and not demand a tip at every opportunity.

The brisket needs a little more smoking time. The chicken and turkey were juicy and not dry. So they were good. The ribs were the best part of it.

We ordered the 4 meat shareable (sliced brisket, smoked chicken, sausage, & bologna, baked beans, house chips. The service was great & not busy at 7:30pm last night. Total $33 with tea & water, not including the tip.

The food is amazing! The service was terrible on a Thursday night. Best catfish in town and the chopped beef baked potato was incredible (hold the ranch and bacon).
