I was passing through college park, md and came across this unassuming place tucked out of sight. So based on pass reviews we tried the lollipop chicken and a couple of other dishes(jjampong and jajangmyeon—spelling?). The lollipop chicken did not disappoint! Wow! Burst of flavor in my mouth. Crispy on the outside. Soft and flavorful on the inside. Addicting! A keeper! Fried rice was good. The jjampong and jajangmyeon was good but nothing special. The noodles could have been more chewy and not so overcooked. But that aside the service was wonderful and I liked the atmosphere! Will definitely be back for those lollipop chicken!!
Whenever I am in the area and have a craving for Kkanpunggi or Jajangmyeon this is place I go to. All the noodles are hand pulled. You can hear the slapping noise when they are making the noodles. I love their Kkanpunggi (lollipop chicken). It’s probably their signature dish so don’t miss out. What makes their Jajangmyeon great is their fresh noodles. You can’t go wrong with either dish.
The staff were very nice. Greeted us and they had plenty of seats (Friday 6:30) Their portions were huge. You get what you paid for. I got all the Korean classic noodle and rice dishes as well. Everything is good. If I had one complaint, I wish the dishes were smaller portion so I can try a lot of them. We only had 3 in my party so we were only able to try 3 due to how big the portions were
Da Rae Won is one of Beltsville’s low-key gems for Korean-Chinese comfort food. If you know, you know. 👀 Started with the mandu—crispy, hot, and the perfect bite to warm up. The lollipop chicken was the surprise hit: juicy, lightly crispy, and super flavorful without being heavy. But the real reason I’ll keep coming back? The black bean noodles. Thick, chewy noodles swimming in that rich jajangmyeon sauce… absolute comfort in a bowl. 😮💨🍜 Fast and excellent service(shout out to Ellen), generous portions, and consistently good food. If you’re anywhere near Beltsville and craving something comforting, Da Rae Won should be on your shortlist. Would absolutely return just for another noodle pull
I used to come here often with friends back in my college days, so it was nice to visit again after a long time. We ordered yangjangpi, jjajangmyeon, and shrimp kanpunggi. The jjajang sauce was just average, but the handmade noodles were really good. The yangjangpi was decent, and the shrimp kanpunggi was absolutely delicious. I also appreciated how the staff kept checking in and brought more side dishes whenever they noticed we were running low. It made the experience even better.
