D Green's BBQ

I absolutely love this place the food was filling and delicious. But beyond that the owner was super friendly. Threw in a drink we chatted about life. Even offered to cater my wedding if I had it on Kauai. Really enjoyed the time I had here and would come back.

Great Barbecue! From Oklahoma so I know what the good stuff is (we have to drive to Texas for the good stuff). Anyway, D Green’s Que comes with a sauce on the side but I didn’t need it. Ribs were some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Brisket was perfectly tender and the burnt ends sang. Sides were good. So happy. In a good place.

PHENOMENAL!! If you’re conseidering this place, you HAVE to try it. The food was amazing. Cooked to perfection and the flavor was absolutely delicious. We came here for lunch and the owner was very approachable and friendly. He was sold out of the Mac and cheese, and chicken so we got pulled pork, brisket, potatoes salad and beans. It was a delight to eat here and the price was fair. He even threw in a guava drink for us. Would love to come back here. I loved the sign he had in the back.

D Green’s food truck is out here slingin excellent bbq on the island of Kauai. We got a shared 1/4 lb of each meat platter with the pineapple sausage, pork, chicken, brisket and ribs with four sides. The sausage and pulled pork stood out from the rest and were our favorites! The quality and amount of food was the best we had for the price during our trip. If you need a big plate or need to feed your family, you gotta check out this food truck. We will definitely be back on our next trip to paradise.

Tbh the bbq is not very good. It's not horrible but I wouldn't say it's any special or even tasty if you've ever had bbq in the mainland before. The hot link and the pineapple sausage both need more fillings because they are too soft and soggy right now. The bbq ribs and briskets need more rubbing for flavor and tenderness. The pulled pork is fine but that's all I can say. Overall if you don't have high expectations or expect anything Hawaiian then it's a passable meal.
