This is my favorite place for Empanadas!!! They are gluten free and absolutely delicious. The place is small and it's difficult to park on a busy day. Totally worth a try.
Dear gas station restaurant, I apologize for judging you and being apprehensive about trying you. You blew me out of the water and now I want to be best friends. You learn as a kid to ‘not judge a book by its cover’ and that is true of Cylantros. Yes, it is attached the Shell gas station but a better way to put it is that the gas station it attached to it. Cylantros is the main event here after all. Our table ordered the VENEZUELAN PATACÓ (with pork and shredded beef), CACHAPA (with just cheese), and sampler. All of the items were phenomenal. The cachapa was a sweet corn pancake and just perfect amount of flavor- I would add meat next time. The sampler gave a good variety of options- the best being the plantain and black bean arepa in my opinion. The star of the show though was the pataco.
Cylantros Venezuelan Restaurant Review The food at Cylantros was excellent—fresh and full of flavor! I ordered a combo with steak, rice, beans, fried plantains, and a drink for just $14, which is a great deal for the quality and portion size. The only downside is the location. It’s literally next to a gas station, so parking is very limited, and inside seating consists of only three tables. There are more places to sit outside, but it was way too hot during my visit. Overall, if you’re looking for authentic Venezuelan food at a great price, this is worth checking out—just be prepared for the seating and parking challenges.
First time there! I have been looking for an authentic place that kind of brought me back to my roots. (Colombia) And this was as close to it as possible. I definitely will be heading back. The food was great tasting. My daughter thought that their passion fruit drink reminded me of my mothers. We definitely will be heading back. We like to try new things all the time. And this was a great place a great choice!!!
Could be better. Over time quality has dipped. Norcross is where the good Venezuelan food is at. They have lost their touch unfortunately as many do over time. Papelon Con Limón Norcross that is truly delicious Venezuelan food. Incredible variety of dishes there unlike here. Way more flavor.
