Custom House Coffee

Very good coffee roasters & shop! We enjoyed lattes & a morning glory muffin. We loved the coffee so much, we went twice on our trip to Newport. Plenty of inside & outdoor seating.

We ordered cappuccino and pumpkin spice latte and a biscotti. Nice morning treat. Excellent service.Go there for a great cup of coffee and relaxing atmosphere.

We’ve been going to this coffee shop for over 10 years and it’s the best coffee, we order their beans and have them shipped to where we live and their seasonal coffees are better then anyone’s around!

We decided to stop here for an early lunch, and first thing we noticed was it was so busy! There is almost always a line outside the door, but it stays moving pretty fast. However we saw why pretty quickly, we ordered 3 sandwiches and some pastries and they were all tossed in a bag together with no wrapping on the outside except napkins, so everything got smushed and we were lucky our pastries weren’t ruined. To be honest I was not very impressed with the drinks either, we ordered peanut butter mochas first, and mine was extremely bitter for no certain reason while the other two tasted fine. So we went back and got the Honey Bee, and while I understand that it has cinnamon, I think they must have put a tablespoon of cinnamon in the drink and it wasn’t even drinkable. Nice place. Theirs job is really coffee i belived :) You can see them roasting and packaging there. Prices are fair. It has a great coffee smell. There are tables inside and outside if you want to hang out. You can buy their own products and packaged coffees. I bought a latte, the coffee was really fresh. I think it has a few awards too. An enjoyable stop on the road :))
