I recently stopped by Cupcake and Things Bakery in Kapolei, located along Kamokila Boulevard in the heart of Oʻahu’s growing west side community. As Kapolei continues to develop into a residential and commercial hub, small specialty bakeries like this help add personality to the local food scene beyond the larger chain dessert shops. The atmosphere feels warm and inviting, much like a traditional neighborhood bakery. The space is modest but colorful, with display cases filled with cupcakes and decorated desserts that immediately draw attention when you walk in. Special cake for our grandson’s 1st birthday. We described what we wanted and they made it for us! Top layer gluten free as requested, which was a plus as well. Will be back for future celebrations.

Highly recommended! Pastry chef was incredibly helpful and provided excellent service. She was able to accommodate my entire request of a Marble w. Chocolate/Vanilla Buttercream cake which truly met my expectations.

A hidden gem that serves up delectable cupcakes and sweet treats. Ordered a four pack variety of cupcakes all of which were enjoyed and oh so good; the Salted Caramel was my favourite - so light and fluffy. Friendly service, clean establishment and a great selection.

We got this cake for a birthday and it was just the way we wanted. Customer service was top notch. The cake was good I would like a little more moist but I didn’t requested that so that’s on me. Everyone talked about how beautiful the cake looked. When we went to pick up the cake we saw some eye catching cupcakes , we got 6, they were priced right and ohhh boy they were one of the best we’ve tried, they were not overly sweet. I don’t usually write too many reviews but this place needs a 5 star review.
