Cubano’s

Went to dinner at Cubano’s with a big group. Warm, intimate, and cozy vibe - floral decor, friendly staff, handled our table with ease. Unfortunately they were out of the ceviche and oxtail that I was eyeing on the menu. Food came out hot and fast. I sampled half the menu taking a bite from everyone’s plates. Everything was solid, but no standouts… except one! The 4 Leches cake? Chef’s kiss! That alone is the reason to come back! Drinks were average — no presentation, nothing memorable. But service was smooth, and the ambiance works for groups or casual dinner. If you’re near Cubano’s, go for the 4 Leches cake! Everything else is fine too, but that dessert’s the star!

Food is so delicious here. Order anything with the yummy 12-hour cooked pork, you cannot go wrong. It is true that there are some slips in operations as the economy is hitting us all hard. I am rooting for them to turn things around. Consider supporting this wonderful small local business while they find their footing.

Saw their promotion for the Savor Bethesda Restaurant Week. There were just four patrons for weekday lunch. The three-course came with: 1. Three pieces Big Tequenos (instead of five pieces on the regular menu). 2. Arepa (the bun; not the Burger). 3. Cuban Flan (to choose vanilla or coconut). The decorations and table settings looked pleasant. The food quality was above average. The service was quick and professional. Highly recommended.

Amazing Customer Service! Food, Oye, pero Rica! CUSTOMERSERVICE: Really great! Greeted twice by different people. A rare thing these days. FOOD: Dang!! Really good! Everything was spot on. I don't eat sea food, but I tried some and blew my mind! The chorizo was packed with flavor and not overwhelming with fat as some other places. Coffee...A dream within a dream... ATMOSPHERE: Lovely. A great place for a date or just to enjoy great Cuban food. BATHROOMS; VERY CLEAN! Beautiful. Better than my apartment. 😆 Parking, if lucky on the street. If you don't want the hassle, there are public garages for a fee. SUMMARY: It's a must go place. Definitely will return. Sadly, my phone acted up and couldn't get lighting good for great pictures. BUT I SHALL RETURN! 💯 % RETURN FACTOR 💯 %

This was my first time patronizing this location in Bethesda and it did not disappoint. For many years, I have visited the location in Silver Spring which shut down. I really do miss going there for my lunch break and communicating with the staff. I have nothing negative to say about my experience at this location as everything was on point from the staff to the food. I look forward to going back.
