CT River Odyssey

We were looking for a quiet New England getaway to celebrate our anniversary when we happened upon the Connecticut River Odyssey. It was the perfect comfy place to unwind and enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Connecticut River in Vermont. Liz was a delightful and thoughtful, caring host. And her inspired cooking had us enjoying breakfast and dinner overlooking the river there every day -- we couldn't imagine doing better going out. Her home is right on the river with breathtaking views and near many other parks, trails and other attractions. It all made for a blissful weekend in the country that we would be glad to do again in the future!

Majestic, peaceful, serene! CT River Odyssey is such a magnificent find overlooking the breathtaking Connecticut River. Watching the rolling mist early every morning while drinking coffee just melt all my stress away. Our host was wonderful. All our needs were met. Will will be back!

Ideal place to unplug, unwind & reset We stayed at Liz’s place for the first time the summer of 2021 and have come back this summer because we loved it. We are big city people. Initially we were concerned that we would get bored, surprised of the lack of bars and early and limited hours for restaurants. None of this mattered when you’re surrounded by nature; the property is literally on the river which magically changes throughout the day, birds, chipmunks and squirrels abound, vegetables growing in the garden. Stars at night. It’s so green and quiet. It’s truly serene. Our weekday would start with stretch / yoga on the dock, breakfast and working al fresco with the view of the river, kayak, water dip in the afternoon.
