Extremely disappointed with this group. First and last time going here. Waited 30 minutes past my appt time and barely acknowledged while waiting. John came into office and breezed through my return, very few questions and goal was to get me in and out. H&R block has more service and questions! He just said here how much you owe and you should find more losses next year. Then had his assistance wrap me up. She gave me a folder with my documents, the pages to submit my payments (yes, CSI does not set up a payment from your bank account, they just submit the return!). I got home thinking my tax returns were in the folder and wanted to review as John didn't have time to or care to! CSI does not provide a copy of your return for the $450 fee! Have been going to CSI in Staten Island since my former accountant retired several years ago. This year I was annoyed as I had an 11:30 appt and I waited almost a hour until I was seen. The office had one client they took in when I arrived at 11:15. Around 11:55 two men came in and said they were here for their 12:00 appt. I was still waiting. Finally I was brought into a room where the assistant took my papers. She said someone will be in and closed the door. After waiting another 15 minutes, I opened the door and saw and heard the men in another room. I questioned the assistant as to why the men were taken in before me as I clearly heard them AND the receptionist say they were here for a 12 appt. She tried to BS me that their appt was before mine. When I walked in I had to sit and wait for my appointment, because the couple before me was in the office having a screaming match with John. Then, when it was finally my turn, I was handled extremely bluntly and coldly while John sipped on his Dunkin-Donut Iced Coffee... 3 minutes and 7 computer-button pushes later, I was told I owed $500, (almost my entire tax return of 2 years). When I pushed back and asked questions, I was told there wasn’t anything else they could do, and John Ciccarello even threw in my face that my appointment had to be cancelled in the past. (I could not make the last appointment due to Tornado warnings and storms.) I would HIGHLY recommend you do your taxes on your own or just simply use a free app. (It’s very easy!)
