The Fresh Fig

If you’ve been to Cafe Basilico then you know they have high standards in the quality, taste and presentation of their food. Well, the same owners we love opened a new restaurant, The Fresh Fig, which focuses mainly on salads and sandwiches. I stopped in with a friend during Hillsborough’s Restaurant Week to try their special, the Harvest Salad. The salad was beautiful, colorful, fresh and DELICIOUS. My friend and I also split the Italian sandwich which was incredibly generous in size. It may seem silly but this spot has salad to be excited about. You won’t find a boring bowl of mixed greens or strange colored deli meat on their menu. I already know what salad I’m having next!

Was nervous to try a new place because I'm picky about salads and sandwiches. They have to be fresh & crisp or else they suck! Well, The Fresh Fig pleasantly surprised me!! Sooo happy I got a caprese sandwich and southwest salad for dinner today. So yummy!!

An awesome spot off Route 206 in Hillsborough. I went in for lunch and got the Far East salad (with tomatoes) and the Italian. The picture speaks for itself! I was helped by Joe and I believe he’s the owner as well. Really great service today. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a higher quality sandwich.

I stopped into the fresh fig after a string of meetings, hoping for something healthy but also desperately needing an afternoon pick me up. They delivered on both fronts. Their salad selection is fantastic, and the Fico Salad was not only fresh and flavorful but also a really generous portion - super satisfying without feeling heavy. I paired it with a cappuccino, and surprisingly, the combo totally worked. It’s a great place to recharge, whether you’re grabbing a quick meal or fueling up with coffee. I’ll definitely be back.

Ordered an Italiano sandwich which was very very good. The flavors and texture were amazing, and the size is quite good for the fairly low price. I was only going to eat half, but I couldn't stop myself from eating the whole thing. 100% I will be trying more sandwiches, as well as their salads.
