Crumbly Burger

I just got to town and looked for a local fast food restaurant. I saw they closed at 7 and I knew I might not make it there because it was already 6:42. I got there at 6:51 and ordered crumbly, with cheese onion rings, large and a crunchy taco after making sure that it was not to late to order. Onion rings were delicious, taco was dry with no sauce and the Crumbly had no cheese.

Pure nostalgia and excellent loose meat burgers. A staple for me as an IA kid, these came out hot, with mustard, ketchup, onion, and pickle... Perfect!! Tried their tenderloin (serviceable and good), fries and onion rings (both hot and excellent).

I drove up from KC thinking I'd get a good old fashioned crumble burger and onion rings for old time sakes. Put my order in and waited anxiously for this tasy treat. Instead of onion rings a woman brought me fries. I told her I ordered the O rings and she told me she heard FF. O rings cost more and she didn't charge me for those. I told her I would be glad to pay more for the O rings. When they did arrive she told me that would be an additional $2. Ok, that's what I wanted so glad to pay the extra. However, the O rings were burned and had no flavor. The crumble burger didn't taste anything like it did 30 years ago let alone 5 when I was last here. I can honestly say that I won't return for any nostalgia food at this joint again.

Got the crumbly burger meal (no cheese) with small fries and a soda. It tasted good, but the bun was totally squished and soggy. Not sure why it was like that because we ate it there in the restaurant. I hadn’t been here for a while-it seemed like the burgers were smaller than they used to be. The fries were crispy and delicious!

Great food so I went back to get another to go. I ordered a pizza and taco burger. I got a pizza burger and a taco, so I went back in and the dark haired chick made sure I knew that was not what she heard. Twice as if to make a point. I just wanted to try the food and take some home not deal with your emotional problems... never coming back Mac and cheese wedges are nice too.
