Crazy Sumo Ellsworth

Loved it here, chef was kind and funny and made the experience fun for my young kids, we have four under the age of six and it’s always nerve racking taking them to new restaurants, but the atmosphere is kid friendly and the food is great, even my picky eaters ate it! Would come here again if we are in Maine!

First the positive, the staff is friendly, the wait time was 0 minutes, plenty of parking, reasonably priced menu and the crab rangoons are house made. However, both times I have been, I have had an issue with the hygiene. The first time, it was some food stuck on the fork, in my wrapped silverware. No problem, mistakes happen, easily replaced, not a deal breaker. The second time I went, the appetizer came out with a piece of hair stuck to it. To some, it's not a deal breaker, put that 1 piece to the side and eat the rest. It was sent back, but not removed from the bill. They would have remade it, but I declined the offer. Definitely recommend this restaurant! The sumo lovers drink is the best mixed drink I’ve ever had, and the food is so yummy. My boyfriend and I love coming here for date nights.

Food was good- We liked the twist on ramen, bulgogi and even the vanilla mochi icecream.

My family's favorite place to go whenever we're in the area! Staff is super nice, chefs are hilarious, and the food is amazing! Definitely come hungry because the portions are huge. We have come the last 3 years for all of our birthdays and it has become a nice tradition
