Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen

Spent a week in New Orleans. Picked this place on a whim after crossing the bridge on Lake Pontchartrain and it was so good we made it a priority to go back before we left. The Monte Cristo was the special the 2nd time and it's the best one I've ever had hands down.

The club and the boudin egg rolls are phenomenal. I'll be back just for the egg rolls. Lol The shrimp basket with crab cakes were perfect. We were absolutely satisfied with our order.

Its tucked away in a little strip shopping center and its easy to miss if you haven't been there. We were sat very quickly and our server was right there ready to take our cocktail and appetizer orders. The tables and chairs are all wobbly and a little cramped,but it wasnt that big of a deal. Even the server noted all of the chairs need tightening. The food was pretty good and I actually had a hard time making a decision which is a good thing because the menu had a lot of interesting options. I haven't seen a grilled shrimp basket in years,but this place has it and it was pretty good. They do close early so keep that in mind. We will be making another trip to the North Shore to stop in to this place again

Alyssa S is a wonderful server who kept our coffee cups full and our bellies satisfied. She paid attention without hovering. The food was delicious. I love the down home atmosphere.

Austin was a great server! Very friendly and personable! The food was amazing! I got the ponchatrain and bayou Benedict. Reasonable prices!
