Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Absolutely a great experience! Christine was funny and such a good server. Was informative about everything from our ordering and about other things in the restaurant and store. I ordered the Southern fried chicken, 1- breast, 1-thigh, 1-leg and 1-wing with mashed taters/white gravy, greens, fried okra and sweet tea. Chris ordered the Nashville hot chicken, 1-breast, 1-thigh, 1-leg, 1-wing with steak fries, slaw and sweet tea. Let's not forget the homemade biscuits. Everything was sooo good!😜 Thank you to all for making it a great experience. I've included some pics of our food and of the store. So many nice things, you'll have to see for yourself!

A Sunday night dinner at 6:30pm. Said 30 min wait but half the restaurant was empty. Once seated out waitress took drink orders, brought biscuits. Great cool we got biscuits with no utensils or plates. We were given a pile of bathroom paper towels for napkins. Had to ask bus boy for utensils. We ordered our food. Then 30 min later she comes out and says oh we’re out of salad. Food was brought out 5 min apart. Rice undercooked. Ordered loaded hash brown casserole and it wasn’t loaded so waited another 5 min. Saw three other people ask for manager and she looked like she could care less. Do not recommend this location at all.

After being seated we waited a very long time to be greeted by the waitress. We gave our complete order and was informed a number of menu items were not available which to me was horrible since it was early on a Friday. Drinks were delivered but was not right and no biscuits were offered until.a manager came over. The food order was also not correct once it came out. Wrong side item was sent out. The meatloaf tasted as if something was missing and I thought about adding ketchup but I just left it on the plate. At least the shopping experience was great.

Disappointed is my one word description. The hostess seemed lost and unsure where to seat guests even though the place was half empty. The server was very nervous as if we were her first ever customers. Very nice but apologetic way too much. The biggest downside was that the food was cold. It seemed as if it was plated a while ago and left to sit. The mashed potatoes were like a had pile. Definitely needs some better management oversight.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had to check and make sure Uncle Hershel was still safe and the décor hadn’t changed — happy to report both are still intact 👍 The menu has shifted a bit though, and sadly our favorite Smoky Mountain Chicken (I think that’s what it was called) is no longer there 😒. The grilled chicken is still just as good as always, and the Bacon Barrel Burger is a solid 5-star 🌟🤩. Service was quick, and our waitress was both friendly and attentive. Oh and we had the Coca-Cola Chocolate cake for my birthday dessert and it was delicious!! 💝🎂🥳 The store was clean and stocked with beautiful seasonal items. We’ll definitely stop in again next time we’re in the area!
