Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We had a wonderful experience here. Our waitress was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed for our meal. We went here for breakfast. The gift shop was fully stocked. There wasn’t a wait when we visited.

This is one of those “if I could give It 0 stars I would” reviews. Seeger took forever to greet us at the table, food took forever to come out. Everything on the plate was terrible. Foreign object in the Mac and cheese, fish tasted funky, hush puppies were burnt and old. Soda machine was flat. Saw other guests complaining during my visit as well. I’ll never be back

I am from the Oxford, MS area and I am in town for work. I decided to stop by for supper. The Wednesday night special was to die for. The portion sizes were great and my server, Ashley W., was the best. 5 stars.

Order chicken and dumpling plate with green beans and pinto beans. The chicken and dumplings only had three little tiny pieces of chicken the size of my thumb. The pinto beans had ham in there that smelled and tasted spoiled. The green beans didn't taste right. I called the waitress over and showed her no chicken actually had to search I didn't think it had any at first then I found the three little pieces she said oh that only comes with three pieces I said no that can't be she says yeah sorry that's all you get. I said please call the manager she called the manager over and he brought back some chicken to mix in and he apologized. Don't know why the waitress tried to tell me that's how it comes when clearly the manager was shocked seen no chicken in the chicken and dumplings. At least he

Cracker Barrel is all in the news lately about the changes going on. The Shreveport location, for now, has not changed. It's always busy it seems, no matter what time of day we go ! I'll be honest, we quit going months ago cos of continually bad experiences. But, I had to go check out what all this fuss is about. Nothing to report on the changes, but the visit was good. Andrea did an excellent job on making it a great meal! The gift shop is a good place to shop for those Hard To Shop For folk. I do some of my Christmas shopping here. They have candies from your childhood ( for us old folk), toys, baby clothes, quilts, and just whatever !! Stop by and have a Look- see !!
