Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Stopped for a Turkey meal on Thanksgiving while traveling through the area. Let me start by saying, it's Thanksgiving, these folks don't HAVE to be open or working. So, I'm thankful that they were open so that we could stop somewhere and have a delicious Thanksgiving meal on this Holiday. It was BUSY. Even though it was hopping inside, the staff was absolutely exceptional. They were hustling, still kind, still on point, food was still hot and our drinks stayed full. What a blessing. This was my first time having the fried turkey Thanksgiving meal and the fried turkey was delicious. Super crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The cranberry relish on that biscuit was heaven. Wish they had the relish year round. The holiday tea was also good, refreshing, not too sweet. My son loved

If you are looking for a decent sit down meal you could do worse than visiting this cracker barrel. Both the breakfast food and the dinner food tends to be pretty good. There is something on the menu for everyone. As with all sit down restaurants the quality of your visit depends on the server you get. In my past 4 visits to this location I have had 2 great servers and 2 not so great servers. All in all this is a solid choice for a good meal.

Did they change the fried chicken recipe? The breading was darker rather than lighter in color but it was good. Although it seems that the chicken pieces were smaller. The wing barely had any meat on it. The slaw tasted like it was open in the fridge for a while. The dumplings and cinnamon apples and cornbread was good. The place looked clean.

Wow!!! This visit was great. Logan was amazing. The new menu was nice and the service was Awesome. My waitress was very attentive. The food was nice & hot! Will be back soon. Thanks again.

Had wonderful Grandma’s Pancake Breakfast on Friday. My daughter had Country Fried Steak. The Buttermilk Pancakes are my favorite at Cracker Barrel. The Service was fantastic and we did not have to wait in line - we walked right in. We went on a Thursday around 12:30. The waitress we had was wonderful. She refilled our drinks without us having to ask. I am waiting for the summer so I can play checkers outside after we leave from eating. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything you order at Cracker Barrel. I highly recommend the Shiloh Cracker Barrel in Shiloh Illinois off of Route 64.
