Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Drive over to get a meal to go. I selected the grilled chicken breast with broccoli and a side salad. Cracker Barrel is a staple in most communities. This one was a couple of minutes from the hotel we were staying. I ordered when I got there so it took a bit longer. However, the servers were very nice and accommodating. The food was very freshly made and my grandson loved it.

This was my first ever experience at this restaurant and it was amazing! When you enter, there's a store with all kinds of unique (want a rooster snow globe?) and higher quality items (shirts, scarfs, games, books, candy, etc), though overpriced. The seating was spacious and the service was awesome!! Not too involved but always attentive. The food was excellent (went for breakfast) with many very fairly priced items compared to other breakfast chains. I ordered biscuits and gravy and got a side of grits..my only (small) complaint was the size was tiny, but then again it was only $1.99 .. so can't really complain. The grits were amazing! Well... let's see where do I begin? We had this meal a few weeks ago in Ulmerton Florida and it was soooo delicious that we had it a few times there. I invited a friend out to lunch today and suggested the Campfire meals. We ordered it & my meal as her meal was OLD looked as if it was last night's food. It's supposed to be popping hot but it looked microwaved. The corn on the cob, tomatoes, & potatoes were old and wrinkled. The juice was dark brown along with the onions 🌰. I asked for the manager and he took our meal to the back promising to fix it and when he brought our 2nd lunch out it was worse. My friend's beef was dark brown almost burnt and my chicken was dry. I do not recommend this Cracker Barrel for lunch they serve the day before food.
